Welcome to Diane and Laith's Website
We did it! We're married! We had our dream wedding - a small, backyard ceremony and reception, surrounded by our families and a few close friends.
The ceremony included a wine drinking ceremony (to symbolize sharing the "cups" of joy and sorrow), a poem reading, and a song accompanied by acoustic guitar. Diane cried all the way up the aisle, and through the ceremony (including while saying her vows) - but they were definitely tears of joy and the welling up of strong feelings of love for Laith and everyone present. The patio reception included a delicious dinner and wedding cake (there was even vegan food and cake!), and many people gave moving toasts and speeches. Later, we danced under the stars and twinkling fairy lights strung in the trees.
Everyone contributed something - time, food, drinks - it was a real collaborative effort, and we had a great party! Thank you everyone for helping to make our wedding such a special day.
We'd like to extend a special thanks to Patricia and Dean Johnson, who graciously opened their home to us, and allowed us to have our wedding and reception in their beautiful back yard. It was a special treat to be married underneath their redwood trees. Thank you!

Thank you to Rick Sparks for helping to setup the ceremony archway and flower arrangements. Thank you to Ana Manwaring for reading the poem "Doves." Thank you to Carolyn Bott for singing the song "A Love Song." Thank you to Jennie Wohler for all her extra help with the wedding preparations.
And a big thank you to everyone who traveled from out of town to attend our wedding - it meant a lot to us that you made that special effort to be with us.
We had a fabulous honeymoon at Sea Ranch. It was beautiful, quiet, and very romantic.
